A message from Margaret Highton – Trustee
A very hot but successful Band Concert was held on Sunday.
Bream Silver Band were superb in playing in extreme conditions and they had plenty of water in cool boxes to drink between pieces of music.
The Trust would like to thank the following: –
- The ladies at St Mary’s for the lovely cakes served with tea, coffee and squash.
- Newent Town Council for allowing us to use the Band Stand, providing the posts and rope and emptying the holes where the posts are positioned.
- Clare Stone for helping my husband and I to set up and pack away.
- Alison Offord for Publicity
- The Onion Fayre Committee for sponsoring the Band Concerts.
Around 70/80 people watched from the shade and £63.57 was collected for Newent Initiative Trust funds.
